T1blog39 Pancakes and Presentations

Friday, finally. This week was also pretty busy, but it all payed off today. I made pancakes in foods today. It was my third lab this term. The pancakes were awesome. They were so soft and delicious, and sweet, and fluffy, and scrumptious, and yummy, and...and...good. I had about 5 and then i got pretty full, but everyone in applied skills were pretty hungry. Ben, Mary, Natalie, Jian Vern, and Iris had the rest of my pancakes. In the lab my creative-ness kicked in and i was having a lot of fun trying to make wierd shapes out of the pancake batter. I tried for micky mouse, but it didn't work out. I made a heart, a star, and a swirly thingy instead. A great way to relax....cooking....sigh... Cooking was the fun part of the day, the not-so-fun/not-looking-forward-to part of the day was last period. It was finally our -Mary, Natalie, and I- turn to present the socials conflict presentation. I had some stage fright, but it was okay since i didn't look many people in the eye, i kept looking at the power point. It tunrs out that the question and answer period was actually more nerve-wracking. If you didn't know the answer you looked really bad....saying ummm....also bad...I tried to give a bit of input into every answer because i was so nervous. Turns out that wasn't good because we had marks cut off for inbalance in answering questions. I should've stopped talking....We still did really well though. 37 out of 40! Or 92 percent, something of the sort. I was happy to hear the 90. A perfect balance in the day, pancakes and presentations.
