T1Blog83 Trying to schedule it all out

Today i'm really proud of myself. I wrote out a sort of schedule for the things i would do after school and it turned out pretty good. After school, i came home walked my dog and combed his hair. Then i ate something and started my homework at around 5. From 5-6 i worked on the socials assignment, i typed out the paragraphs i needed to make. From 6-9 i worked on science. I had originally wrote from 6-8, but i didn't finish in time so i just worked through the new episode of House. It wasn't as good- the episode i mean. The shows have lately been more about the drama between House, and Wilson, and Cutty, rather than the patients and doctor stuff itself. And there aren't as many witty retorts from House! Anyways, after i finished science- not all of it though just the C.Y.U's and the Chapter Review- I ate dinner. I was watching another TV show, but i wanted to get my blog over with so here i am typing it out! Tomorrow i'm going to finish all my math homework that was assigned today before my meeting a Sunset. After Sunset- at around 7- i will finish my science flashcards. Tomorrow i'll probably be working until 9:30 on those flashcards so after that i'll just read. And that's also tomorrow's schedule too! Sometimes scheduling doesn't always work out because you don't give yourself enough time to accomplish the task, but i have stretched all the times so i am good. Too bad i only ever get two things done from each subject a day. Today, being Monday, is the only "Free Day" i have. It the one day of the week where i'm not going somewhere after school. Tomorrow is volunteering. On Wdnesday i have soccer practice. ON Thursday i have Debate club and on Friday i have soccer practice again. So the week basically goes by like that. I rely on the weekend to get loads of stuff done, but i get so lazy and end up doing everything on Sunday. I've got to change that. I used to finish all my homework on Friday so that the weekend would be fun and carefree. I wouldn't have to do anything on Saturday or Sunday! This blog is long enough.....that's what i get for writing a blog too early.....

T1Blog82 Gots homework

When i came back home from my grandparents house it was about 4 o'clock. I finished my book and then i went on to finish some homework. First i went on the Google docs to write my notes for Vanessa's and Natalie's presentations. Then i went on Google docs again and wrote in the corrections for the science fair the teacher wanted us to make. I sent the science fair Doc. to Shania- who's my partner. After doing that i finished the worksheets that Ms. Tang had assigned us on Thursday- they took longer than expected. Finally i did my blog. Well i am doing my blog. I still have to finish the notes and C.Y.U and flashcards for science, and i have to type out the paragraph for the socials mapping countries in conflict assignment. I have a feeling i'm going to be getting much homework tomorrow. Definately from science and math, and maybe even some in French. Get ready for a long week Krishtha.......I'm going to read the second book in the series i'm reading now. Take my mind off the tasks at hand......

T1Blog81 Time stands still

Today i was really relaxed. My grandparents house is very quiet and there isn't much to do. It really gives you a lot of time to think about things. I spent the day reading a new book i bought from the store. It isn't in my reading level- i think it's too easy- , but it's a good distraction. I don't want to stress myself out this weekend. It's going to be calm.....and easy......I was supposed to go back home today with my brother, but my parents didn't want to pick us up. The reason i stayed over at their house-actually apartment- is because my parents really need some time to study for their exams. They are both taking these courses and they both have exams in the next few weeks. Since us kids are a lot to handle- i guess- with the amount of stuff to study they decided to leave us at our grandparents house. They really needed the studying time. Anyways, i didn't do anything else today. In a short summary, it was: Wake up, eat, watch TV, Read, Read, Read, then eat, then watch TV, then eat, then read, then sleep.

T1(Super)blog80 Last DAY Of THE WEEK.

When a person is not having fun.....

I'm happy it's a day 1 today. I'm also happy that its the last day of the week and that it's also the last day of basketball!!! Next week we're starting square dancing in PE. Unfortunately we won't be square dancing with grade 8's. It's always funny watching them dance.....of course i wouldn't know since i was in grade 8 last year. Anyways, square dancing is always a great thing in PE. I like that kids can act a bit wild for once, without being yelled at. Once at lunch my friends and I were playing a small game of tag in a corner in the hallway-away from everyone else so we wouldn't disturb anyone- and then a french teacher.....Madam R(something) came out and told us to stop playing games. Quote "You're either in grade 8 or 9 or 10 you shouldn't be playing around like this." It's not a direct quote, but it's close enough. Anyways, i got a vibe from that teacher that she thought we should be studying or something. We didn't tell us to go play outside....or play else where, she said we were acting like kindergartners. Sometimes people need to loosen up and act crazy or else you'll be too stressed out to enjoy life. Where was i going with this? I don't know. Back to the day i had. In foods we learned about the different types of healthy snacks we could be having. In socials we worked on our little mapping countries in conflict assignment and in applied skills we took notes! After school i worked on my own power point for applied skills, it's finished but i need to include the bloomin thingy. So i guess it isn't finished....Now i'm off to my grandparents house, i'm sleeping over there.

T1Blog79 Saved by the Sub!

Saved By the Sub! When a say sub by the way i don't mean a sandwich i mean a substitute teacher. First period today our english projects were due and everyone was freaking out. Today i was actually late for class! In the morning i remembered that i had to print out the book for the presentation and then it took me a bit of time- it was 8:15- by the time i left it was 8:25. When i got to school i didn't even go to my locker i just went straight to english. The sub gave me a warning, but other than that i wasn't in too much trouble. Since we had a substitute, as it turns out, the project-AKA book- wasn't due today. We also didn't have to present or read the whole book out to the class today. Anyways, everyone was relieved. In science we were too loud. Ms. Tang got really mad and then we were assigned a lot of worksheets. I think everyone should start listening to her more. It's hard enough to teach middle years, but when we're not co-operating......yikes i wouldn't want to be in her position. Today it was exceptionally worse. So now i have a lot of worksheets and chapter 8 to finish.

T1blog78 Busy as a Bee, Tired as an olympic runner-running 12 miles

Today has been long. I woke up late, but i walked to school so i was tired before i walked into class. I am so glad you were away today Mr. Olson! Not saying your not a great teacher though, i wanted to work on English during applied skills like we did last time. Mary, Eugene and I finished the rest of the book during first period and after school we just edited and then did the extra stuff! That extra 80 minutes helped a lot, or else all of us would be sleeping for at least an hour longer. Maybe more, since i find that when i write i get distracted by all the things lying around my house. There are so many things to play with, and throw, and eat, and jump on. My house is so distracting! If the TV isn't on, the radio is, if that isn't on, someone is on the phone, if the phone isn't being used my dog is barking, if he's sleeping my brother is playing with his friends, if their not over my brother is making noise for the sake of making noise, if he's also sleeping i'm probably listening to music on my computer. The list goes on....The english project has been the main concern to me lately. Eugene is the one making the book so Mary and I are (at least i think Mary Is) sitting anxiously at our desks waiting for tomorrow. Anyways, in social studies we got our marks! And we also got the whole period to work on that project/homework thingy Mr. Martin assigned us last class. I am done the first part, all i need it country information and some pencil crayons now! Now on with the stuff i really want to talk about. The mark i got in social studies. I think you can tell by my writing that i'm smiling and jumping up and down at my desk. Not Literally. The highest mark was apparently 91, but since Mr.Martin was scaling the marks it was really a 94%. Guess who got that mark.......ME! I think it is mainly because of the essay. I hope we have socials essay's more often. This mark makes up for the math and even english marks. In english i'm getting a B. I think i'm getting a 77%, but i can't remember now. Anyways, that made my day. Next week in PE we're starting square dancing. Yes! I love that part of P.E. In foods we had another lab and my group made Yam Fries. They were.....sweet. I wish we'd put more spices on them.....they were a bit too sweet for my comfort. I think i've written enough for today. This is what happens when you don't care what time it is and you're taking your time.

T1Blog77 Speed Blogging

Welcome to the national championship for speed blogging. Currently i don't know how fast i am typing, but i doubt that it's faster than rachel, because she's fesh at it! Speed Blogging is the art of writing fast blogs when you just don't have the time. Like a few days ago when i needed to finish all my blogs in one day(for 4 days) and i did them all in under half an hour. It's a feat for me since it takes me a while just to write one blog. I'm tired. It's Tuesday and we still haven't finished our english story, tisk tisk, what are we to do. We have, though, finished making the back and front cover of the book. Now all we need to do is write the next 2 chapters and then we're basically done. Man this english project is taking up a lot of my time. Valuable time i need to sleep, and eat, and blog! Maybe tomorrow we'll have a free applied skills block, maybe to work on english? Pretty please.....with chocolate chips on top, cause i don't like cherry's. Anyways today i did many things. In did my speech for english and my french skit. I don't know how english went, some people liked it some people gave constructive critisism. Both i take as good things. French went well as well. I forgot my lines, added new things to the script, forgot that we needed a back pack- in the middle of the presentation- and went over to eugene and asked "Un Sac a Dos?" because we were going to use Eugene's backpack. Yup....Science wasn't the best. We're starting chapter 8 and we had 2 quizes today, both of which i don't think went well because i was so focused on the english project. I should go my eyes are drooping....English, English, English!

T1Blog76 Grey Day

It was raining and it wasn't a happy thing to be walking home in the rain today. I was walking home in the rain today.....I could've gotten a ride, but for the English project we had i needed to take pictures of trees for our front cover. I went around Lagara after school in order to obtain a good setting for the foresty look of the picture. Our group is working in overtime to finish the story. We are in the middle of chapter 7 today. I don't think we're going to finish by tomorrow. We'll be done the other things- like the front and back cover and author bio's- but not the story itself. Why does english have to be first block on Thursday? At lest when it was 3rd block we would have had time to finish our project at lunch. Anyways today was fun. FUN. I played basketball in PE. I worked on the english project during our free block in applied skills. And i studied with Mary for the socials quiz. I took a few notes for socials and started another socials homework assignment by Mr.Martin. He said not to worry about it though, i think he knows our situation about the english project. In foods we learned about how much fat, sodium, sugar, and protein is in fast food foods. I learned that i eat pretty healthy food when i do eat out. I think i should actually be eating a bit more. After school i went to Costco with my mom and bought some groceries. When i came back i finished science, then english and then i Watched HOUSE! It was a great episode. It's more drama than medical info though, not as good as the first few seasons. Anyways i'll see you on Wednesday then. BYE!

T1Blog75 Home + Work = HomeWork

Today i woke at 6am to go to my soccer game. When i came back it was 11am. At 12pm i started finishing off that homework i didn't do. I started with science, i finished my chapter review in front of the TV. I took a break from science then and worked on my french. Winnie and I made a 3D model of the invention we're talking about in our speech. I made it look more colorful and awesome. I also labeled some things that needed to be labeled. After that i made my way back into science, finishing my flashcards for unit 7. It took a while, but i pulled through. At the end of all that science i was relieved to get rid of that burden. I then took a huge break. I practiced my english speech between adds on the Television and after a long day of science and french i really started working on the english story. We are now starting chapter 6. We only have 3 more chapters to go. I think we really can finish if we complete chaoter 6-8 tomorrow and 9-10 on Tuesday. Then We'll have Wednesday to edit it a bit and then we'll have to bind it into a book. I know we're cutting our time slim on the story, but it'll turn out fine. I think. I hope. Anyways that was my day up until now. and by the way this blog took exactly 5 minutes to make.

T1Blog74 Lazy

I didn't get anything done today. Except for studying for socials that is. Before i went to bed, at around 12 i read over the time line of the english civil war and dates around that. We've got a Time-line quiz next class. I think you probably already know that though. Mr. Martin or some other MYer probably told you. I rested today. I made today my resting day. It's a day where i rest. I think it's good to rest sometimes. You shouldn't always be running around and stressing yourself out about stuff. I'm going to think about homework tomorrow. Everything will be done tomorrow. Except for socials because i was feeling nerdy before bed. Since this is the lazy blog. I'm going to cut this short and give you a break too.

T1Blog73 Long week. Again

There are too many things to do. It's a relief just to be in class because i don't have to do any homework, i just have to learn. Today our English oratorical was due and i didn't get to present mine today! Sharon went just before me and i have to go next time now. I wanted to get it over with. English and Science are the major homework bringers lately. Science is always a huge homework bringer, but lately english has caught up to cue. We has two english projects due next week. The oratorical and the english "Mystery" story. The oratorical should be finished by next class. And the story is due on Thursday. My groupd for the story isn't done yet. We're half way there though! I want to finish by tuesday so that we have time to edit and bind the story into a book. I don't think we'll meet that deadline... Right now we've finished up to the 4th chapter and there are going to be 9 chapters in total. Not including the Epilogue. Anyways, enough about english, math is also one of those subject i don't like. I had a sub today and she kept saying "Nice". It got to the point where every response she had to us was "nice". By french class i was completely famished. Winnie and I finished up our write-up for french and now all we have to do is practice the presentation. Well i'm going to go now. Bye!

T1Blog72 Long Day

I woke up at 6am today and didn't get home till 5pm. That's almost 12 hours of doing something! Basketball was in the morning and sadly i didn't make it. Since i stayed after school for debate club- i decided to join, with some suggesting from my mom- i got to look at who made the basketball team early. Or maybe it was after school that the list was posted....I don't know. After school in debate club is was very interesting and there was a lo of information to remember. We learned about rebuttle- or something spelled like that- i didn't really understand since this was my first debate club meeting and i had missed the other things we learned. I'll just search it up online over the weekend i guess. The assembly today was so much fun. I still have that song in my head "I've got a feeling". Mr. Latimer showed us many video's that were awesome and really hit the heart. There was this story about Shayak, this disabled boy, who was allowed to play baseball with these kids and the kids let him do the final hit at bat and win the game. It was a heart felt story. There was also one about this kid who worked really hard to be on the basketball team and was finally allowed to play by the coach- by the way that kid was the team manager- and he scored 6 three pointers! Over 15 points! In the first 2 minutes! He broke the school record! Anyways that was really cool. I should porbably go now i want a lot of sleep today.

T1(super)Blog71 Big Questions. Big Anwers

My great idea for the super blog is to answer a big question. A big question that i liked was "Why are we here in Earth". I guess there are two main answers to that question. One would be Evolution, we evolved from unicellular lifeforms and eventually turned into the humans we are today. BUT where did the unicellular life forms come from in the first place? Could life forms have been made by the Big Bang? Another big question.... If the Big Bang was a huge -silent- explosion of matter then could organisms have been made from the bang? Or were they made later on. If they were made later on how were they made? Something should have made them, or else we wouldn't be here today. If something made them.....where did that something come from? So many questions! Another theory is the subject of "God". People believe there is a "God" who created everything, including human beings. That could be true.....but i guess with all the scientific evidence we have it probably isn't. Of course "God" could have created EVERYTHING even matter and the atoms and EVERYTHING. In which case....both theories could be applicable. We could have evolved.....because God intended us to. Which then pops up the question Is God real? If God isn't real where does that put the billions of people that believe in God? Wow, solving one question pops up 20 more. Obviously the question "Why we are here on Earth" isn't going to be answered by me, but trying to understand it really gets your brain thinking. I've got one last question.... we know we're here on the earth when we live, but what about when we die. Where do we go when we die?

T1Blog70 Spirits are high

My spirits are really high today! Seconds period was a happy time. In socials studies we were given back our essay tests that Mr. Martin marked! Yikes i was dreading it. I didn't think i did well, i mean i worked a lot to make those notes, but during the test i felt i was really confused. I guess i wasn't confused as i thought, because i got 18 1/2 out of 16! I didn't think i could do so well. I would have settled for less....but I'm not complaining. At first i thought it was out of 20 because that made more sense, but Mr. Martin said it was out of 16. So anyways because of that awesome mark my whole day has been going well. I had a PE test today which i think i did well in and for foods i made spaghetti with Vanessa and Denise- i have a good feeling about that lab mark too! The spaghetti itself was pretty good. After school today i finally finished my english oratorical and now i'm going to practice for that and study for math. Hopefully math goes well, as well....

T1Blog69 Il pleut! It's Raining!

Rain Rain go away, come again another day. Something Something something something......I can't remember what to say! I woke up this morning at ten, and went to the mall once again. When i came back it was raining with a roar, and Winnie was waiting at my door! I had to pick my brother up from school, or else she wouldn't have had to wait at Sexsmith school. We worked on our french project and we talked about food. We compared Indian food with Asian food which made me have a hungry mood. We're making an invention that is made out of a box, which we drew before in chalk. Then she left after she ate some chicken and her dad came picking, her up. After she left i finished my math review, while watching House cure a patient recovering from a flu. I'm going to stop talking in rhyme, if you noticed it this time.

T1Blog68 Glad tomorrow isn't school

Yes i am glad that tomorrow i don't have school. First of all I really need to finish my English Oratorical-edit it i mean- , study for the science video quiz, study for the PE test, and study for the foods test. In the morning i got around to studying for PE and Foods, not as much foods as PE though. I went to the mall in the middle of the day and came back just in time for my soccer game. It happened to be raining, a lot, and i got completely soaked. But! I played really well today. After the soccer game i worked a bit on my English Oratorical again and then i studied for science. So far i think i've got a good grasp on English, Social Studies, and Science. I need to work on math, a lot, though. I decided to study for math tomorrow because I'll have more time then. Such a busy weekend.

T1Blog67 Another day of homework

Before i start telling you of the homework i accomplished today I must tell you that i have another idea for my super blog! I didn't think the other idea was that good after all. Today i caught up on some science homework that i thought i should get over with. I made notes up to 7.3 along with the Check your Understanding. I'm glad i got that over with because now i can focus on the English oratorical due on Wednesday. By the way i also wrote my English oratorical today, it needs revising, but the main lay out is done. I remembered that i also had to work on the English Mystery Story due in one week. So far the group I'm in (with Eugene and Mary) haven't gotten very far. We're on the 1st chapter..... Nobody really adds anything to the Google docs. Today I'm hoping on getting a lot of writing done for that. At least make it to the 2nd chapter! Well ...... yeah that was the educational part of my day.....so yeah....

T1(super)Blog66 Not so super.....

My awesome plans for this super blog i was going to write sort of fell apart. I guess I'll have to write it next week. I can't really think of a good super blog to write right now.....my inspiration is low.... I don't know what i'll add to make this blog super. Anyways today was a day 1! Hurray! As you know in applied skills we listened to jimmy and alexander. I was surpriced at myself because i understood everything they said! Because my dad works at BCTC and i went to his work i know how everything in electricity works. And i also know a lot about blackholes because Time Travel is closely related Blackholes. Blackholes may possible be ways to travel backwards into time. I didn't want people to ask questions i didn't know so i read up on all topics related to Time Travel. Those include blackholes, whiteholes, wormholes, general relativity, special relativity, space-time and some other that i can't remember. So yeah i did a lot of research. During socails i spent the whole period racking my brain and writing down anything that came to mind. Why? Because it was out essay test. I didn't know how to write it, it was my first time, so i tried to make it intersting and filled with information. It may have worked out.......Today was our last day in PE for weight lifting! Just 3 weeks of basketball now and then it's on to......SQUARE DANCING~~!!!! Can't wait for that......
I've attatched a song from Youtube that my cousin showed me and i liked a lot. I didn't think the music video was as good as the song, but it's still a cool song.

T1Blog65 Am Tired. Must sleep.

Today, Today, Today. Block Change! First period was english, where we watched "In the Heat of the Night" the movie. It wasn't as interesting as the book and they changed many scenes of the book in the movie. They also changed the name of the victim! Instead of Mantoli it's something along the lines of Cobald, or Cobalt, or Cobra......or Cobla. Anyways in science we stayed in 10 minutes into lunch to finish the video we started. I was deprived of my lunch for 10 minutes. Not good, for a hungry person in science. We also had a quiz which was pretty hard actually. I didn't think quizes could be like that. After lunch i had math. Ugh. We had another "Quiz" but it was really really hard. Even Sharon found it a bit difficult! Without her i probably wouldn't have done well. We got to work in partners you see and we both handed in the same test paper. That's how this quiz was. I must now finish a math review for homerwork. I almost finished today, if it wasn't for the fact that i had to eat dinner. Anyways, in french we worked more on the french project. Winnie and i aren't even close to being finished. There is a lot of stuff to keep track of in the day. I'm glad my applied skills power point isn't due tomorrow. I would be in trouble then. Anyways.....i'm going to sleep now, it's been a long day.

T1Blog64 Remembrance day

I had a huge soccer tournament today so i didn't really get to do any homework. I studied a bit for science, but i had no questions or notes to study from so i basically just read all of chapter 7. Surprisingly enough it shared the same information as the video we watched. So i woke up really early-8 o'clock!- to get to my soccer tournament on time. It went on until 5 and after it my family went to the mall, again. I ate a cinnamon bun! It was the highlight of my day. The sugar.......and fat......and ........sugar.........so delicious. I always have one when i go to metro town. I think its turned into a sort of tradition. Its hard not to forget about it either because once you get close enough you can smell the sweet aroma of the cinnamon bun. I'm going on about that......shouldn't really. When i came home, i studied for science, studied for math, studied for socials, and found a topic for english. I'm going to write my speech on how the teenagers-and adults- blast the volumes of their MP3's way too loud. Eventually it leads to deafness so it's a BAD thing. Although i doubt anyone in the MY class does that they probably know better, but some people seriously don't know that it's bad for their ears. Anyways, i've got to actually write the speech over the weekend not to mention write the english "Mystery" story with eugene and mary. Which reminds me, i've got to make a google docs for that! It going to be a long week ahead.

T1Blog63 11.10.09

I don't know what to write today. Today.....my foods test was post-poned till Monday. I didn't even start studying so that is a stroke of good luck. I've got to study quite a bit over the weekend. I also have to start writing my speech for english and that mystery story for English! I think Eugene has already started, i'll make a google document and have everyone write down their version of the story out there. I don't think we'll get to writing that much. I don't usually write a lot-okay i do- but not under pressure. If i want to write i will, but there can't be any stress.....or else it doesn't work out. Today i also found out that next PE class is our last weight lifting class! We're going to get tested on various things.....I don't actually know what though. Maybe Vanessa will know. In socials we did some notes taking, watched a video and talked a bit. Mr. Martin asked us about "Take Your Kids To Work day" i told him it was eerily quiet. It was. I don't think that's what he was looking for as an answer, but that's what i noticed! My dad didn't give me any work to do---:)
After school i finished some homework then i went to the mall. That was basically my day......

T1Blog62 Disappointed

Yes, i am disappointed. First block really got me down.....We got our marks for the tests and quizzes we've had so far.....It wasn't good. Well actually for someone else it might have been a good mark, but by my standards i don't think it was very good. I got a C+ (more importantly i got 68%). I think i've come into the habit of getting at least 70%, it's my version of a "pass". Looks like i "failed" then. Darn. In the next math test we're going to have I'm going to study a lot more. Hopefully if i get a better mark it'll boost up my percent.....by 2. I'll focus more on math next term a lot more! I sort of messed it up this term. Good thing it's only grade 9. I know now that enriched is hard-er for me and if i want to keep it up then i'll have to work a whole bunch! So anyways, that was a downer to my day. In french i tried to forget about it and it worked for a while, but then i remembered again when i told me friends. Blah..... I shouldn't let it ruin my day......Blah.
In english we got the due date for our "mystery story's" and our speeches. The speeches are going to start being presented on th 18th-same day as my math test. And the story's are going to be due on the 24th. 9 days for the speech and 2 weeks for the story. Yikes. Today i finished my power point for applied skills, except for the bibliography which i'm going to write at the very end because it takes a while to do. I don't want to be writing the bibliography and then after finishing the bibloigraphy, finishing the power point. That sounded odd. In science we had a quiz, agian. We're going to have one every class now. The next one is of this video we watched in class. I'm going to research the things we learned in the video because i have a bad memory. Yup....so my day went by like that. See you tomorrow then, bye!

T1Blog61 Fill in the blanks

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! I can believe that it went by so fast, but i didn't want it to! I'm glad that we have remembrance day off, i have a soccer tournament that day and of course we should have a day off to remember all those people that died.....You sort of have a solemn mood when thinking about it. I still have to finish that big bang articles about time travel. Maybe next month i'll give them the other article i started working on-i want to make it better. I handed the Big Bang article thingy a few hours ago, i hope they'll still accept it. I did work hard on taking all those notes and writing the article in general. I'm currently typing with two pencils erasers. It's a great way to type. You should try it. I think everyone should learn how to type with pencil erasers! Anyways, today i finished some forgotten homework- like the applied skills article- and i also went to the movie theatres to watch a movie! We were going to watch "Where the Wild Things are" but my friends got the date wrong for the movie so we watched "A Christmas Carol" instead. I actually wanted to watch "Where the Wild things are though"! The other movie was good too, funny, i guess, but not very interesting since i know the story for "A Christmas Carol" pretty well. The movie didn't really matter that much though, i just wanted to hang out with my friends- the whole balance your life thing......Like your roles in life.....fullfilling the "Friend" role. Anyways when i came back i did all the stuff i talked about earlier in my blog. I'm going to work on that power point now. Need to meet my deadline.

T1Blog60 Lazy and Candy crazy.

I am once again addicted to my Halloween candy. I think I've had more than 15 pieces of chocolate alone! Just when i thought i was doing so well....I think candy makes me lazy. It definitely slows me down. I wanted to get off the couch and do something productive-like possible the big bang article- but i couldn't! And when i did get up off the couch, it drew me back into it's magnetic grasp. Anyhow, i did a bunch of homework today. I mainly accomplished science and applied skills. For science i revised the flashcards i already made-which by the way weren't due after all! Darn everyone told me they were due.... I also finished a few worksheets Ms. Tang gave us. After that hard task i worked on my applied skills power point. I am 4 slides in so far. Not including the animations of course. I am going to work on them tomorrow as well. So after science and applied skills i worked a bit on social studies. Very little though! I took a few more notes on the English civil war. I really want to do well in social studies- and science and English. Yup that was my educational day. I also finished reading a book i started reading yesturday. Which reminds me that i still need to finish reading Lord of the Rings, the 3rd one though. I'm not certain about passing that book test i had on Friday on the fellowship of the ring. Oh well we'll see.

T1Blog59 Rolling with the punches

The title to today's blog is random. I don't know what i was thinking when i was writing it a few seconds ago. Anyways, i guess today was a good day. In PE we played volleyball-yay! I was surprised by how rusty i was, my first serve wasn't pretty. Since Vanessa, Eugene, and I were all away on Wednesday because of take your kid to work day we missed a lot of notes in Foods. I think i'll probably ask someone next class about the notes. For foods we have a test on friday, and we also have a huge scoails essay test on friday. I have been thinking about something that has been confusing me for a while. When is the applied skills power point due? Isn't it a day 1 on friday, not Thursday? Since the essay test and the foods test i have are both on Friday. Hmmm.... I don't like the schedule for next week. I want to be done the power point this weekend but i think that won't happen. I forgot about how much time it took me to make a power point because i have all the notes, i simply have to type them into the power point. That may take a while, i'm thinking 3 days. So maybe the power point will be done my tuesday and i can start writing was i'm going to say for my presentation on Wednesday. If it's due on Thursday then i'll have time to practice before applied skills and if it's due on Friday i'll have all of Thursday to practice! It all works out i guess. In social studies we learned more about the times during the english civil war. I think Mr.Martin is getting us ready for the essay test since this is our first one. I THINK. Speaking of thinking, i thought of a great super blog next week, but i'm not going to tell you.

T1Blog58 Scientific stuff

Hello there again! I am so glad it is Thursday, tomorrow being Friday you know. I'm going to write a shorter blog today because i want to get more sleep today. This week hasn't been as busy. In fact today i got to rest quite a bit. I made notes on Time travel for applied skills and that's basically it. I think for the applied skills project i am finished the notes and i should probably be starting the power point by the weekend. I also have to brush up a bit more on the English civil war notes-i want to include as much as i can!- since we're allowed to use our notes during the essay test. I was talking to Eugene about the Big Bang article you told us to do, he said it was for bonus points and that we had to write about the topic we were researching on for applied skills. I kind of already started making an story for this other topic-about fungus! Not as gross as you'd think- so i'll just send that it. I don't want to waste the time spent researching for that. Next time you should write in the e-mail what topic we should do because not many people knew about it. Anyways i'll probably be finishing that tomorrow so yeah.....What else did i do today? I finished my math homework, i also did two science quizes in science today. I didn't study as much because i tried studying for both of them at the same time and it sort of drove me off course. My brain was jumbled.....Anyways i'm glad i finished all the flashcards for science when i was sick because now i don't have to write them all this weekend. I only have to add information to them! We have to include the Atomic mass, ion charge, and the atomic number. Okay this is long enough. I'll see you tomorrow then, bye!

T1(super)Blog57 Take your kids to work day

My day was pretty fun. I didn't get to sleep in though. I learned a lot simply in the morning just going to work! My dad takes a bus to the canada line skytrain and from there goes to the downtown city center station. From there he walks about 3 blocks to his work. The wierd part was that on the ride on the skytrain it was quiet. Eerily quiet. I mean it was dead silent except for 2 people talking in the corner and the sound of the moving train. You'd think people would be on their cell phones, or reading, or sneezing, or laughing, or saying "excuse me", but there was none of that. It was awkward when i started talking because everyone suddenly turned my way......They were like zombies. I think they were zoned out (staring into space) for the whole train ride! And my dad was one of them! He said that in the morning people are too busy to talk because they are thinking too much about what they have to do when they go to work, or wherever else they are going. On the skytrain back it wasn't like that at all....but to think 1 skytrain sections filled with about 50 people was silent. That was a huge thing that i noticed.....but i guess it was nothing to do with work. When i got to my dad's work there was a bit more noise, but not as much as i thought there would be. You could still here the sound of the people walking across the hall. Anyways i was introduced to many people....and then i finished my math homework. In my dad's office there was this whole program where there were about 8 kids and they talked to us about BCTC-my dad's work- and how it works. It was very informative. There are some pictures above as you can see. They are of the sub-station we went to near scotia bank theatre. We had a whole tour of the place. I now know what a tranformer is......If there is extra energy running through the circuits-let's say 60 volts- then the tranformer breaks it down into sizes we need instead of using 60 because we don't use that much. I don't know if volts is the correct term ......There are also circuit breakers that send help send the electricity into the grid. Those circuit breakers are attatched to huge wires where they get all their electricity from, those wires are connected to this huge machine that i forgot the name of. And this is all inderground too! I mean you can't see it, it isn't exactly underground, but its in a building that is pretty obscure. The electrical engineer that was showing us around said that if it was above ground-because the conducters are underground- then instead of using wires we could use metals like copper and iron to conduct the electriciy to places. There was so much more stuff that we did......this guy talked about how BCTC and BC hydro is going to help make the Olympics greener by not using huge, loud noisy, energy bombs-as i call it. Instead they are going to take electricity from our main grid, but they've obviously had to make changes. Hmmm.....I learned a lot, but i didn't learn much about my dads job. He's a financial Annaylist. He's one of the people that take care of the money going to and from the company. He also sits in his desk all day. And i happen to know there is a very convenvient food source in the same building-2 floors worth!- that he visits every morning. On top of that they feed their employees food-mainly sweets- during their meetings. Wow this is one huge blog. Well hope you liked a recap of some of my day.

T1Blog56 Being Logical

In my last blog-the one i wrote a few minutes ago- i wrote about ketchup and apples and how i didn't like both of them. The reason for the whole = sign thing is that in english we learned about the 3 different appeals. Logos, pathos, and Ethos. Logos mean logic basically. And Mr. Hauk was showing us examples. Jian Vern made one up saying "Humans breathe oxygen" "Oxygen is a gas" Therefore "Humans breathe gas". That was one that was actually logical. So anyways i was reminded of that and i started using the logical appeal. So....hmmm i'm going to try and make one up on the spot right now. It's harder than i thought........5minutes later......still thinking.....i've got one! It isn't logical though. So..... "Glue is sticky" "Honey is sticky" therefore "glue is honey". that isn't true though. Obviously glue and honey aren't the same or i would wonder why my tea was suddenly not sweet anymore.....Anyways today i did that quiz in science that i missed, but Ms. Tang only gave me the first part so i have ot complete the rest next class. I get to study more!! I got some more math homework from Mr. Chrazaoskoistky? I don't know how to spell his name, i only know how to say it. In english we started reading martin luther kings famous speech "i have a dream" and boy does it have a lot of imagery and metaphor. After school i took it a bit easy and i only managed to take notes for time travel, but its better than nothing. Well now i'm going to read lord of the rings..... i know i haven't finished it yet....

T1Blog55 Catch up, not Ketchup

Hello once again. This font seems different, but i didn't change it.....Mysterious. Today i did a lot of catching up on homework and i also made this rice in foods class which had ketchup in it. I didn't even try it, anything with ketchup isn't good in my books. Ketchup = Apples. By the way i actually don't hate apples entirely, the flavour is fine, but there is something about the way it feels that doesn't seem right when its cooked...or raw. Anyways Ketchup = apples and apples = me no likey. Which mean Ketchup = me no likey. You'll probably understand what i just randomyl did in my next blog when i explain it-because i am writing Monday's blog on Tuesday. Today in applied skills, after my long awaited return i was surprised to find that our bibliography's were due. I was lucky. I only had three books, but my cousin was at the library at the time and she showed me how to write a bibliography. I do know how to write one, but i left all the sheets that show you how to cite it at home-i brought the wrong folder to school! And i don't think anyone is able remember where to put all those comma's and periods-other than my cousin. when i came home today i was already tired, but i still had a long day ahead of me. I had to finish my science chapter stuff-i needed to get it over with-, my math homework, notes on time travel, and my socials notes. Yup.....and i still needed to finish the book we were reading for english-good thing i only had 2 more chapters left. So i was trying to catch up on all the homwork i missed. On top of all of that i have to- well actually i did- make up the science quiz i missed last class tomorrow-which is today.

T1blog54 Blah

I am going to stop writing my blogs for today-even though i still have today's which is Monday's to go. I'll just write two tomorrow then. Right, so, Sunday was better than the rest of the weekend. I finished my flashcards for science, and my math worksheet for math, and nothing for english-only because i didn't have the book with me. Most of the day was focused on finishing off socials, math, and science. I also had another soccer game today, it was later on at 6pm today. I had to be there at 5:15 and the game ended at 7:30 so i spent 2 and a half hours on Sunday for soccer alone! That is a lot of time. I just had to get thinking about it..... Yeah....soo..... Blah! What else did i do on Sunday? I did homework and went to my soccer game and came back and did homework and ate dinner and did homework and brushed and slept. I forgot to mention how irritatin my retainers are. I feel like breaking them with my teeth because they hurt so much. If course if i did that i'd have to pay $500. Alrighty then.......I should go. Good night then.......

T1Blog53 Happy Halloween (achoo!)

Now i am more tired than I was two blogs ago. Darn i don't like the internet-that is when it doesn't work. Happy Halloween! Before i forget. On Saturday i was still feeling sick, but i made myself get up and work my butt off for a few hours so that i wouldn't have to put it all off on Sunday. Science was racking my brain to hard. My head started hurting while making flashcards! Flashcards are the easiest things to make-they take a while, but they're easy- and my head was hurting a lot. I stopped after i was 1/4 of the was done. Right after that i carved two pumpkins my brother got with my remaining strength and then i fell asleep. The doctor said the get a lot of fluids and rest. The basic flu treatment. I woke up at 5 and put on my halloween costume on. There is no way i was going to miss halloween. I went even though i wasn't sure of my condition, but something was just telling me to go. I was right to have gone too! I felt a lot better when i came back from trick-or-treating i think it was the fresh air. I was cooped up in the house for most of 2 days. Halloween this year wasn't as much fun. I was dissapointed at the amount of candy being given. Only about 5-6 people on each block were giving candy out this year!! Not acceptable....

T1Blog52 Another sickly day

Yes, you may have guessed that i didn't go to school today. I needed my rest though, i don't think i would have made it passed first block without passing out. The whole school day part of my day was spent going to a from the doctor and buying medication for my sickness because apparently it wasn't a cold-it was something else. I came home at around 12 and then slept until my brother came home and was watched TV-at 2ish. That was my school day! By that time i e-mailed a few people asking about homework-there was a lot- and i also slept some more. I didn't feel any better until very late in the night when i finished taking notes for the 1st section in chapter 6. I had to finish all the 6.0 notes, flashcards, and C.Y.U's by Tuesday! It may seem like a long time, but i was sick for most of the weekend and i don't just have hours upon hours of time on the weekend. So friday went by in a lot of Kleenex's and sneezes.

T1superblog51 Swine Flu-iness

I am Sick. Well actually i think now-Monday that is- i'm not as sick as i was on thursday, but i think i still may have something. My head is hurting a lot. Anyways today i lot of things happened, but more things were supposed to happen that didn't happen. Confusing..... So On thursday i was supposed to go the the halloween dance, but i wasn't feeling well. Although that's what my mom said i thought i was feeling fine. I guess moms are always right because later on in the day i had a fever of about 100. I was feeling fine though! Best sickness ever, except for the runny nose-that stayed with me till now! I didn't even have a sore throat. So i don't want to write too much because i still have to write 4 more blogs. Before i start my super blog part, which is connected to the whole being sick theme of my next few blogs. The reason i didn't write my blogs till now was, yes i was sick, and-i have bad luck- my internet suddenlt stopped working. My parents called this guy at the computer place and asked him what was wrong, he didn't exactly know. So now we had to get a new modem which only came today. Although we didn't go internet free-because we had dial-up- but i didn't go on the entire weekend because my mom had to work on her course since we only had one computer with internet. So frustrating........ Another thing that wasn't frustrating, but amusing was watching my mom call this docter person and asking them what the syptoms were fo swine flu. I know everything i need to know about swine flu! By the way this is my super blog part. I don't read the school newletters too often so this was new information to me. My mom was asking away and my eyes were closed and i was listening. The symptoms include: Runny/stuffy nose, head ache, sore throat, coughs, and pain in the muscles of your body-or something that feels like pain in your body. My mom asked me stuff like "What is your address" i don't think that was necessary, but i didn't say much. It was a fun little day, i had. Although i wish i had gotten better in time for Friday.
