T1Blog50 Tired......

My eyes are drooping, they feel heavy. It's like my eyes lids are magnets attracting the upper eyelid to the lower one. Wow what a vivid image.....The reason i'm tired is that i've had a long day. First of all it was a Day 2, which is long enough as it is, but on top of that i got a lot of homework-which makes me yawn just thinking about it- and i had soccer practice today. That made it completely impossible for me to get any of today's homework done. I simple took notes on the socials "English Civil War" because i hadn't been doing that for a while. There is a science quiz next class, also a time line due, and science notes for all of chapter six. Not to mention a socials quiz tomorrow and the socials notes and the socials test-essay test!- i should review my notes for-when i finish making them. I also have some math homework which i haven't started yet. Yikes.....no time. Tomorrow is the Halloween dance and i'm going to go to that so i won't have the entire day to finish homework, but i'm hoping to at least get science and math done. Hopefully. I think i'll simple leave weekends for the research and development stuff. Things like the science fair, the applied skills project and taking notes for science. I think i'm going to cut this blog short. I feel sort of cold since i had soccer practice in the rain, but it was fun. Once i got inside i realized how cold i really was though!

T1Blog49 I don't like apples.

I know this is strange, but i don't like apples. It get's a bit stranger than that though. You see, in my last blog i was very excited to do my APPLE STRUDEL lab. What i forgot to mention was that i don't like apples. I know they're supposed to be good for you and everything, but i don't like the taste. The apples were even worse in the apple strudel because they were cooked-yuck! My friends made me try some of my own apple strudel-the dough was fine- the apple was so gross that i almost spit it back out! My disgust for apples is very wide range. I don't like apples in general, apple pie, apple strudel, candy apples, apples with caramel, apples in a salad. However, i do like apple drinks. Apple cider, apple juice.....what else is there? Anyways enough with my issues with apples i'll go on about my day now. The only important thing-i think- in P.E. was that i brought my scarf to it. It was fun hitting Alexander with it-all in good fun of course. And you know about my apple lab. For the research we did in applied skills, it was hard to find a book on time travel. There was only one chapter in one book about it. I took out two books, i'll probably take notes over the weekend then take more books out. When is the project due? Hopefully later rather than sooner. There are so many things to keep track of! Anyways, i was going to say something but i forgot. I got lost in thought about something or another. I think i was going to tell you about something i did after school....hmmm.... I went to volunteering at sunset...then i came home and tried to take notes for socials.... I don't think i did any homework today. Maybe that was it. Tomorrow i have to finish my second source for my socials notes and also start on my science notes-hopefully- and research about Time travel. After that i must basically study and that's it! Well i must go. I have to finish lord of the rings By Friday!!!

T1Blog49 No comment.

I don't know how to sum the day up into one little phrase, so i wrote "No Comment". I'm actually more excited for tomorrow than i was for today. Instead of the voting quiz we were going to have for science, we had a real science quiz! I did study-the flashcards helped a lot- , but i wanted to study a lot more. The quiz wasn't that hard, but on some questions i was confused about because Ms. Tangs wording was quite tricky. Instead of putting "temperature from liquid to gas" she put "Temperature for condensation" (the answer was boiling point). If you read the text book-which i did- it said that the boiling point was the temperature at which liquid turns to gas, but also when gas turns to liquid again-weird i know. So since condensation is when gas turns to liquid then it should also be boiling point. Right? I just confused myself a lot. Confusion is hard to deal with. Speaking of hard, the school year is beginning to get pretty hard. Math, French, English, and Science happen to be in the same day-and they are pretty difficult subjects. Although i like english and science-only because in class we have so much fun.
I just remembered two things i had to tell you. One is that email you sent the (Synergy)....MYER gang that said something about writing an article for the big bang. Are we supposed to do that? Do we have a choice? If we don't have a choice then the big bang will be pretty thick in the next volume. Do i have to write my real name? Anyways that was one of the things i had to tell you. Secondly, i have a dentist appointment on Thursday so i'll probably be missing class- or most of it- that day. I'll give you a note on Thursday......or tomorrow if i remember. I'm finally getting my braces off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You can sense my enthusiasm.

T1Blog48 As MYer's would say "Fail"

Today was a soccer day. I though we would actually win....but sadly....that didn't happen. It was raining so hard and the wind was blowing wildly and i was cold-very cold- but i still thought we could win! We did well the first half- 0-0 - but when the seconds half started it was like all life was sucked from us. Everyone was tired and cold and just feeling crumby. I guess the first half took a lot from us. Sad......very sad.....Although our coaches kept saying "this was the best game this season" i don't think many of our spirits were lifted. I do think we played well today.

Ooh well, it's in the past now. After the game i was very cold, but i didn't go home immediately. My parents went to Costco to buy some groceries and i came along, shivering. When we finally came home it was around 6:30 and i-after a shower- immediately set off the task at hand-homework. I first finished typing out my English character story. Then i spent a whole hour writing out my science proposal with Shania. It was easier than i thought, although maybe that was because i had Shania's help. Anyways after that started writing my blog. And here i am writing my blog. I should go now i have to finish the voting cards-cards with the letters A,B,C, and D written on them- before i go to bed.

T1Blog47 Homework, Homework, Homework.........

I know i shouldn't have left all this homework till Saturday and Sunday, but what could i do? I needed my sleep. I shouldn't make excuses though. It's all my fault!!!!!!!!! I'm not actually that upset though. I wonder when the school play is going to start, I must start acting! Anyways....back the the blog. Yes, i left everything till today. Well today and tomorrow. I decided-a very bad decision on my part-to do my homework in front of the TV. Not good. I would start shaking my finger at myself saying "Tisk Tisk, when will you learn" if i weren't so busy writing this blog. I realized that watching TV slows down the person doing homework by .....well.....a lot! Maybe i'll do a science fair project on that. Who knows. Anyways the observation of myself doing that would be "write about half a line on the paper, then watch ten minutes of TV. Return back to the paper. Watch TV. During adds quickly finish half the homework assigned-if possible. Then move on to other homework". Watching TV isn't good, not when your doing it all day. Although i managed to finish a lot, in 12 hours time! At the very end of my day i read more of the lord of the rings book and then i basically fell asleep. And that was my very boring day! opp's i just dropped my cell phone.......

T1Blog46 Singing in the Rain!

Last year i mentioned a day, somewhat like today, i called it "the Grey Day". You might not remember, but today was such a day. However, i didn't sit around a watch TV all day, like you may have thought- if you remember the Grey day description. Today my friends invited me to her house for a sort of "party" thing. Well it turned into a party when everyone got there. So from 2 to about 6 i was partying it up with my friends! A great way to relax if you ask me. After that i was going to go to soccer practice, but because of the rain my soccer coach canceled the practice. Normally that wouldn't happen though, even if there was pouring rain! I was totally fine with that though, i really didn't want to run in the rain today. Now that i think of it i didn't do anything else today. For the rest of the day i simply read my lord of the rings book. Actually it's more like i started reading the book. I want to finish it over the weekend, but i don't think that'll happen. ........................................................................................................................................................................
Awkward Silence! Although it's only awkward when someone says it's awkward. And if someone points out that it's awkward because they said it's awkward then its just funny. Hmmmm......strange.....and random. Anyways, i don't know why this blog is called "Singing in the Rain" no singing was done in the rain. Actually no singing was done at all!

T1(Super)Blog45 TGIT- Thank god its Thursday!

View from soccer field:

Thursday! The final day! I'm so glad it's today! I have the whole weekend-and all of friday and part of Thursday- to rest and do that homework. There is seriously a lot of homework to complete. Science and socials dominate this weekend though. Hopefully the situation won't be the same next week! I don't want to worry about homework on Halloween. This is probably one of the last times I'm going trick or treating! Did i mention i'm getting my braces off next week? Right before Halloween, it's perfect. I'm too excited, but homework will ruin that excitement.

What did i do today? Well weight lifting was one of the first things. Ever since i started weight lifting in PE my arms have been hurting like ....i got a thousand shots-HPV Shots- on them! I can't wait till gymnastics....and square dancing! And i can't forget that after all of that we're finally doing volleyball in PE. This is one good year for PE. Hopefully next year is just as good. Anyways, my love for PE is evident, so is my love for cooking and of course applied skills. That movie was awesome! I'm going to read the book now. On Monday i'm going to go to the library and check it out. In socials we finished the presentations and started learning more about the English Civil war. Actually we bascially got assigned ten things we had to find out about the government in england. I haven't started that yet. Today i went to my grandparents house and on the way there i took some awesome pictures. Can you guess where i was when i took those pictures? Anyways those pictures are on my blog today. Hope you like them!

T1Blog44 Been a long day.....

It's been a long day. A tediously dull, long day. I didn't have any math homework-thank goodness. I think this is the easiest unit in math. I don't mind it at all. I still haven't gotten my math test results yet! I'm trying to be patient, its easier than i thought, but every time i go to class i expect to be shown my math test. I am more and more positive i didn't do well. French was much better, i got to rest a lot. In french we basically do different little assignments and have a lot of laughs and in between i "Rest my head" for a bit. Today i got to more than usual though, because we had a small quiz and i know i did well in that-we already got it handed back to us. French ended....boring stuff. At lunch my friends and I went to Ideal! We've been really bored during lunch lately, It gave us an excuse to come and say Hi! to them. It was an odd experience. They were all scattered around the one hallway, and i saw all these familiar faces. Ideal is sort of like MY-not Synergy- because they all know each other really well. I think there are only 115 students there-or about that many any way. Obviously they know each other really well, just like MY. Although it was less crowded in their hallway than in our classroom. Anyways, english was same old same old. We're still reading that Murder Mystery. We also have to create an interesting character. Someone who probably has a very colorful life-which we make up. I haven't thought about it much, since i have soccer practice and was quite fatigued after it. I only finished my socials notes from my text book and read 3 more chapters in the Murder Mystery. Nothing is due tomorrow so it doesn't matter. I'm going to try to fit in some reading before i go to bed. See ya!

T1Blog43I don't know

I don't really know what i want to write today. I could just write about my day, but that's boring. I don't really want to write about anything in particular. Somehow i always end up writing my blog so late. I don't understand...I aim for 10:30 and end up finishing at 11:30. Not Good. I get the 8 hour minimum, i guess. I remember what i wanted to talk about now! There was supposedly a meeting for the one act plays today, but i heard wrong and it was really a meeting for the people who were going to write and direct the one act plays. I'm going to act this year, maybe write another year. Who knows. Tomorrow I'm going to ask Mr. Hyde if the auditions have begun or if i can still join. In PE i always miss announcements because our PE class comes late to change. Be the time i come out of the changing room it's already 9:55. The announcements are practically over by then. And in math....well...i get to hear the announcements, but barely. Apart from all the middle years classes math is the second loudest. It's bizarre, you'd think it was PE! My list is getting longer. I must research topics for the science fair tomorrow, make social studies notes, do future math homework, do future science homework, do future English homework, and all before/after soccer practice. Another busy day. I really want to get a good start on the socials notes so i'm going to definitely work on them tomorrow. I'll also go online and consult topics for the science fair with shania-since we're partners- and probably finish any future math homework. All other work will be done on friday. I just remembered i have a science test on Monday as well. I should start studying for that too......Maybe i should just plan this out....it'll be so much easier then! Must write in Agenda now.....bye.

T1Blog42 I lost Fun

I lost fun. I had a good day....but was it fun?
Where did it go.
I talked, but no fun came out.
Fun, which keeps me going.
Where did it go?

I was talking online with my friend today and told her a was working on socials. She said "Krishtha you're always doing homework". I obviously defended myself....saying no! I happen to always be online and doing my homework at the same time. Then she asks me "Do you know what FUN is?" I do know what fun is. But have i been having fun recently? I don't really know. It's all been a big blur. Sure i have fun, but the time flies by so fast i only remember the parts where i'm doing homework! Boo Hoo. Now my friend is lecturing me about how too much knowledge isn't good for you. I don't know where she comes up with this stuff, but i guess i should have more fun in my time. Although today was actually pretty fun. That poem-ish thingy up there isn't actually a recap of my day just a random thing i wrote. Although the "Fun keeps my going part" is true. Without fun nobody would survive. We'd be like robots. Actually we would be robots. Maybe even worse. More distructive because we would only have anger and all those bad emotions to express. Wierd....Where do i come up with this stuff? Today has been like riding on a skateboard. It starts out fine then a few seconds later, you fall down and hit the cement. Once the school day ended i was sad to find homework to do. Maybe i'll find Fun tomorrow.

T1Blog41Lazy people, Lazy Times

I'm sort of mad at my parents. I had a soccer game today, but because the get together got late my parents let me sleep in and i missed it! I was pretty mad at them. I can't just go to my soccer coach and say "My parents didn't want me to go" that's....weird. Darn! I ended up waking up to the sounds of my parents planning my brothers birthday party, which is in December. That kid is going to get spoiled, he gets everything he wants, but only uses half the things he gets. If there was a math equation for that......Wow. Did i just say that? Freaky. Anyways today i relaxed some more, it was just a relaxing weekend. I was going to take some notes on the English Civil War for socials, but i couldn't get up from the couch. I literally didn't get up from there for most of the day. I did go on the computer and i tried finding making notes, but i wasn't in the mood. Why make notes when they weren't going to be good ones? So instead i looked up templates for the applied skills project. Since i have time travel i was looking for mysterious/futuristic looking templates. I have narrowed my choice down to 4. At least i didn't do nothing today. I also tried to look for science fair topics. I want an easier topic this year, but hard enough to be grade 9 level. It isn't going well so far. Maybe i'll find something during the week, my lazy blues will have shrugged off by then. I didn't start working on my science lab write up until about 9:30 because i went to my grandparents house in Surry before that. Shania and I were both online so we both worked on it. It was lucky, i didn't think she'd go on! She thought it was due on Tuesday so she was going to work on it tomorrow. It's a good thing she went online i couldn't have finished it in time! I guess we were both Lazy people.

T1Blog40 Happy Diwali!

Happy Diwali! Today i woke up pretty late. We didn't actually celebrate Diwali until later on-actually in India it's a celebration that takes up 4 days. Today was a day of preparation for the family get together my family was having. We asked everyone to come at around 5ish, but i doubt that will happen. They're going to make it here by 7:30-maybe- and then we'll all go to the temple, then eat. That's how my family is; late. If a relative invites us over then it's guaranteed that we'll come at least an hour later. I tried to change that once by telling everybody to hurry up, but no one can break the balance of life. It didn't happen. I actually think we came later than usual that day. Anyways...I don't really know what to say. I helped cook dinner with my mom and i also ate a lot of grapes before everyone showed up......Now i remember! I finished my socials write up-now i only have the Bibliography to finish- and i also finished my french homework. It's all coming back to me now. I decided to finish my science write up tomorrow because then it'll even out. Now i think i've said everything. People are starting to come...i should go.

T1blog39 Pancakes and Presentations

Friday, finally. This week was also pretty busy, but it all payed off today. I made pancakes in foods today. It was my third lab this term. The pancakes were awesome. They were so soft and delicious, and sweet, and fluffy, and scrumptious, and yummy, and...and...good. I had about 5 and then i got pretty full, but everyone in applied skills were pretty hungry. Ben, Mary, Natalie, Jian Vern, and Iris had the rest of my pancakes. In the lab my creative-ness kicked in and i was having a lot of fun trying to make wierd shapes out of the pancake batter. I tried for micky mouse, but it didn't work out. I made a heart, a star, and a swirly thingy instead. A great way to relax....cooking....sigh... Cooking was the fun part of the day, the not-so-fun/not-looking-forward-to part of the day was last period. It was finally our -Mary, Natalie, and I- turn to present the socials conflict presentation. I had some stage fright, but it was okay since i didn't look many people in the eye, i kept looking at the power point. It tunrs out that the question and answer period was actually more nerve-wracking. If you didn't know the answer you looked really bad....saying ummm....also bad...I tried to give a bit of input into every answer because i was so nervous. Turns out that wasn't good because we had marks cut off for inbalance in answering questions. I should've stopped talking....We still did really well though. 37 out of 40! Or 92 percent, something of the sort. I was happy to hear the 90. A perfect balance in the day, pancakes and presentations.

T1(super)Blog38 Food Fight!

Hello again! Today in my super blog i have given you a link for YouTube. I was randomly searching "food fight" and i found this great reenactment of the major wars in the past years- in food! It's violent though....but foody violent. Like food shoots at each other and yeah.....but it's a great way to learn about history! Anyways, on to my day. Thankfully the results of my math test haven't come back yet, in fact the results of none of my tests haven't come back yet. I am both relieved and in a state of constant suspence. It all depends on the mark i got....I'd rather not see the math mark though. I think i'll do much better in the next test. Mainly because i'll study twice as hard. I had some homework for french assigned today, but i didn't finish it today because i wanted to focus on my social studies conflict. I practiced for the presentation for about 1 hour. Hopefully we can just get it over with. I don't want to wait in agony and then end up going last. Going last is worst than going first. Mr.Martin even said so! I am going early tomorrow morning-like i did today- to work on the presentation with Mary and Natalie. We're going to make some final revision on the power point and then we're basically done. If stage fright doesn't take a hold of me in the last minute i should be fine. I think it's easier for me to talk in front of people i don't know. It's not like i'm ever going to see them again, they don't get a chance to comment on my praformance. Even if it's pretty good. That's one of the reasons why i'm joining the school play, Natalie is as well so i think we'll go together then. The bigger the group the better. It's fine to act with people you know, not in front of people you know. Complicated. Anyways, in english we solved a murder mystery. Mr.Hauk wanted us to get warmed up for a murder mystery we were going to read in a new book he gave us today. And finally the gum lab! It was pretty gross, if i didn't have hand sanitizer i don't know what i would've done without it. This time my mom has to go on the computer, so bye for now.

T1Blog37Battle of the Pathogens

As you know today was shots day. Exclamation point! I wasn't actually as nervous as i thought i would be, but it did hurt more than i had expected. The shot itself was alright, but the after effects, the fact that my arm was sore all day, wasn't a thrilling experience. First of all i ran langara first period, in the rain-although that wasn't too bad. I actually like running in the rain. I wanted it to rain after school when i was walking home, but it didn't happen. It never listens to me....Right after Langara i went to get my shots-my arm was pretty numb from the rain and cold already. After the shots i had to wait 15 minutes before going to my next class. I also had to change out of my PE cloths and go to my locker. I realized that i couldn't change since my cloths were with my friend so i ended just getting my things and going to class, but i was late and she had already started the Demo for the next Lab we were going to do. Pancakes! Being late wasn't that bad because a lot of other people were late as well. During lunch my friends and I went to the paws for cause meeting. It's basically the SPCA club where we help animals in need. We started making posters today- ours looks Fesh! What else did i do today? In applied skills i got the Time Travel topic i wanted! Green, my new favorite color. I wonder how hard the topic will be, i simply picked it because it sounded cool on the Internet, but i didn't actually read into it. I hope it doesn't involve math equations. Anyways another presentation was done in socials and we must take notes on the English Civil War. We have to get 2 sources that aren't from the internet, i wonder how everyone is reacting to that. The new generation is so dependent on technology.....I probably woulnd't be able to finish my homework if i didn't have a computer...it's scary. Speaking of scary, halloween is almost here! I don't know why i mentioned that....well i must go my dad has to use the computer.

T1Blog36Triple test Tuesday

3 tests in one day can really exhaust a person out. The math test I personally think was the worst one i had all day. I don't think i did well. By "well" i mean some of the questions were pretty hard. Next time I'm going to study much harder. It's not a good start in math for the school year, i think I may need to get a tutor. I'll think about it. Maybe the next math test will turn out brighter. The next test in the schedule was English. I studied for math more then i studied for english, but i think i did better in english. I think! I feel that english is a stronger subject than math, for me it is anyways. Mr. Hauk's tests are .... comme ci comme ca. I can only describe it in french. His tests aren't difficult to the point where your brain breaks down and they're not easy to the point where you could be half alseep and Ace the test. They're somewhere in the middle, but it could tip either way. It's easy, with bits and pieces of hard put into it. Very difficult to desrcibe though! I'm going to stick with comme ci comme ca. Anyways, the last test/quiz-because it really was a quiz- of the day was for science. We completed the quiz during the last 15 minutes of class, i thought it was pretty easy. She gave us instructions, but the class was so loud that i almost didn't hear what she was saying. I'm trying to put myself into the habbit of listenning to what Ms. Tang says, even if she's talking to someone else-you never know! I barely noticed when she started telling us our insturction because she was so indescrete about it. She stalked down to the front of the class and started talking, but half the class wasn't listenning. She said that if you didn't follow her instuctions she wouldn't even mark the quiz. Some people are in trouble.....I hope i followed the instructions right. After school i spent a lot of time playing with my dog. My brother and I took him to the park and played a game my brother made up with him. We ran, a lot. After that I relaxed- watched some TV- and then i went to the library to return my books. I didn't actually go to the library (more like stepped in, dropped the books-carefully-, then left). After that i went to Sunset, the community center. Sunset is recruiting people to volunteer there so i joined. We've already started working on our first project, the winter solstice event! We're going to decorate sunset and plan what and where things are going to go. My cousins told me that in IB you have to finish a certain amount of volunteer hours and i'm going to get into the habbit before hand, so it doesn't catch me by surprise if i get into IB. There's always that IF.....

T1Blog35 And it all comes falling down. da da dum!

Today, my day for homework and study. The first educational thing done today was working on the socials conflict project with Natalie and Mary, possibly the most fun i had today. We worked really hard on the power point today and i think it looks Fesh! In the unique sense, not the weird or hilarious one. I don't think anyone else's power point will looks the same. No one can match the feshness of our power point!!! Although we need a tremendous amount of practice if we're going to present the power point well enough. We worked for 4 hours straight, simply finishing up the power point and making q-cards for the presentation. I got home at 4:30 and immediately started working on social studies. Then i moved on to math. Then i ate something and took a short half hour brake. Right before house started, i started studying for english. I'm still going to review a bit of science and then I should be fine. I think with the flash cards i did on Saturday and the science worksheets i have a lot of studying already done. I really needed to study for english though, i will review it during lunch tomorrow as well. My math test, on the other had, will simply be done by only finishing my math worksheet. Hopefully, that is enough. I want to get a lot of sleep and a huge breakfast so that i don't fall asleep. The 1st period is always the hardest because i'm not completely awake. I should go now, i want to sleep before Midnight!

T1Blog34 Time Wasters (sequal to thought drifters)

How did i get from thought drifter to time waster? I had so many plans for today and i didn't get to do any of them! In the morning my family and I went to this sort of preying thingy, i don't know how to describe it. Maybe i'll ask my parents later and tell you. Anyways after that whole praying thing, my grandma (who was also there) was telling my mom that she had some pains in her chest. Everybody freaked out. My grandma said it was nothing, but she takes things too lightly. Last time there was a pain in her chest it was a heart attack! Although it was a minor one, and she had just gone through surgery, but one can never be too sure. So we took her to the hospital. My mom said she would go and that we should drop my grandpa off at home. So we did that. I didn't actually get to go to the hospital and see my grandma, but she's alright so i guess i didn't need to. When she called i asked how she was anyway, just to make sure. Although she would have said fine either way. In the time between the taking her to the hospital and getting home again, we went to Richmond where my brother got a trumpet for his school. He wanted to join band, but missed the date for renting instruments, so we had to go there and rent the instrument for ourselves. When we fianlly got home is was around 4pm. The only work i got donw though was researching for science. I researched a bit for the science fair, but i mainly researched for the gum lab that was due on tuesday. It was actually a pretty challenging task. I keep underestimating science! By the time i finished my brain didn't want to work anymore. I didn't do much after that. My sad attempt at finishing math back fired when my eyes started drooping. Obviously i was sleepy. So i slept.

T1Blog33 Thought Drifters

I didn't really know what to do for my super blog, so if it wasn't good, I promise i won't attempt it again. I didn't realize one dentists appointment could take up so much space. Anyways, today i was in the science realm. After the morning formalities i dug into the other dimension of science. I basically only finished my flashcards. I didn't get to accomplish much since i had to go to my cousins house for an early thanksgiving celebration sort of thing. We don't actually eat Turkey and everything, but we usually get together and play games and we eat dinner together. I don't think the Turkey is the main aspect of the holiday, it's to give thanks to everything you have-thus the name THANKSgiving. I guess the other aspect is to give things....or give thanks to things you have been given....complicated stuff. So from about 5pm to ......tomorrow.....which is about 1am in the morning i was at my cousins house. We started watching movies and the time just flew. Before that was when i did science. I was hoping to get a lot of things done today actually. I didn't know the flashcards would take so long though. I think it's because after a few flashcards i would start thinking about the word and my mind would suddenly drift off into other thoughts. It's sort of like you start talking about a thing, let's call this thing TV, then suddenly one person says "i was watching the news on TV about swine flew". The conversation drifts and suddenly your talking about E.B White- the author for Charlottes web- who, by the way, shares my birthday! And now we're all talking about Kelly's birthday! So that's how my thoughts drifted. I was planning on finishing off social studies and the science lab write up. I should have known.....oh well.

T1(super)blog32 The Dentist Appointment.

Today's super blog is going to be a bit weird. Sometime last year, In music class-last period- i said "hey look there's a chair, i should sit on it" and i happened to remember that memory now. So i'm going to talk like that in my blog today. Do i make any sense? I hope i makes sense. On Friday when my brother started talking about me i woke up. He was saying "You're going to be late for school" and i said "yup i am". (from now on all text will be written in a veriety of tenses). I have a dentist appointment today. I'm going to go that that dentist appointment. I am also going to school today, but i am missing first block and probably seconds block as well. My mom and I got into the car. She is going to drop take me to the dentist. When i was at the dentist and i was a sink with mouth wash and tooth brushes. I decided to rinse my mouth out. After that i glanced at the chairs in the waiting area and i sat down. When the dentists assistant called my name i got up. She pointed to a chair where they clean your teeth-and all the other things they do with your teeth- so i sat in it. As the chair was brought down i was facing the view of the TV-it was off though-i wished it would turn on. The dentists assistant asked me things, so i answered her. What else was i going to do, not answer? I still wished the TV would turn on. She took out a bunch of tools, i was familiar with most of them. First she took my elastics off. Today she took the rings around my molars off. It didn't hurt immediately, but once i walked out of the denists office the pain began. I found it bizarre how that always happened. She also took imprints of my teeth so she could make the retainers. I choose purple for the retainers. There was some liquidy/high in viscocity substance she used to take the imprints. My first though; nasty. It tasted rancid. The appointment ended on a happy note, i got to leave.

T1Blog31 Wishing the day would end

Another day 2...:( They seem twice as long as day 1's. In Science i was just sitting there in my seat, listening to the teacher, and secretly wishing the day would end. I didn't want to get anymore homework, no more unnecessary assignments that needed to be finished. Today was going to be a day to relax, and it was. I got home at around 4 and lazily made myself a sandwich, which i ate while watching C.S.I. At around 4:30 i walked downstairs and went to walk him. My pace was slow, and lethargic, but it was all part of the lazy day routine. When i finally got home it was 5 and i then decided to watch TV. While watching TV, i finished my P.E homework which i won't actually be handing in tomorrow morning because i have yet another dentist appointment. Since i'm getting my braces off the appointments are longer and are less far apart. At 6-ish i finished my science and french homework-both assigned today. Today's homework, except for math, was finished, so i guess i didn't exactly do nothing. After all the TV i decided to take a break so i was determined to finish reading my book. I've been trying to finish it all week long, but i never made the time. After dinner i started and i just finished it now. That's one of the reasons why this blog is written so late. Blah! What else can i say? I must study for 4 tests next week, 3 of which are on the same day. I also must study for a very intimidating foods test on Wednesday of next week. I don't want to dread over them right now though. Now is time to relax. I'm going to sleep in because of my dentist appointment in the morning, one of the reasons why i'm missing PE and part of foods. I can't wait till halloween, all that sugar....

T1Blog30 P.E. Homework?

Today, the strangest thing happened in PE. We got homework, actual homework, that's due! We're supposed to make up a play for football-color and everything- for Friday. It's not a bad kind of homework though, instead of a test we have to make up that play. And i don't mean "Play" and in theatre play, or "Play" as in play in the park, i mean "Play" like a "strategized" formation of moves that the players on a team make to try and score a touch down. I just made up that definition right now, it's so creative. I forgot what i was going to say next.... It was on the tip of my tongue and i forgot! I guess i got side tracked while talking with shania, we're talking about science homework, and english homework, and science homework, and the math test and i talked to Brandon about socials homework. Wow a lot of homework. And since i had soccer practice and my brother had his parent teacher conferences (i went because i like to be supportive) i only had about 2 hours to do all of it. That really isn't enough time. I also have a math test tomorrow which i MUST study for after this blog, not to mention the english, science, and foods-yes foods- tests i have next week. Very busy, very busy. I'm glad my group for the socials project is almost done. We only have to finished the powe point and practice the presentation a few times. I didn't really write about everything that happened today, but the main point are here. I only missed one thing, the camping trip! Mr. Martin told us about this great camping ground-although we would be living in tents- which has a kayaking place near it. It sounds like fun and it's only about 150$ per person. I am rounding up, but if we start fundraising now we could raise most of the money we would only need to pay for transportation and what-not. I'm hoping this camping trip will happen! It better...

T1blog29 Back to the books!

Math was longer than i'd expected it to feel. It was easier than usual though, except for the quiz we had. It was 10 questions long, but the last three were pretty challenging. Next class I have a math chapter 1 test. There's nothing like a chapter test to tell you that school has officially started. I mean now that all the introductions are over the teachers are assigning homework like we only have this year to learn everything till grade 12.
French was a bit better. I had a substitute and he spoke in french, the whole time. I only caught every other word that he said. It was difficult, but i got through it. I realized in french that i should brush up on my numbers. We were reading out of the text book today and i didn't know how to say a date because the number was too big! When i get the time i will do that.
This year i think English is my new favourite subject! We've been reading a lot, which i love, and we're going over the short story terms and things like that. I got a very good score last year so i think it'll go well this year as well. We are going to have a test on short story terms and the short story's that we read in class. Now that i think of think all of them involved a tragic murder or sorrowful ending. In all the short stories we read someone died...so sad.
Science wasn't all fun and games this time. We need to prepare a partial lab report for a lab we're going to make up ourselves! It involves chewing gum. We have to make an experiment that shows which piece of gum is the stickiest out of three different brands of gum. The lab's on Thursday- I think. Speaking of experiments i forgot about the science fair! This weekend i'm going to do some research and try to find inspiration.
I played outside with my friends after school until 6pm and then it was back to the books! I'm glad tomorrow is colaborative planning, it's good to sleep in sometimes.

T1Blog28 Fun, Fun, Fun!

It was a fun day today. It was perfect football weather today! The grass was wet and it was still cool, but the sun was out. Perfect. I had even more fun playing, it was a game filled with laughs and fun. Fun, Fun, Fun! I scored 3 touch downs! That doesn't happen often since i don't usually catch the ball, but today was my luck day. We also had a substitute today because of the whole attendance on the computer deal. I'm glad we didn't do langara today, although the weather was perfect for that too. Foods was also fun-ish. We had a surprise-the-whole-class-knows-about-the-pop-quiz quiz. My friend from 1st block foods told me so i sort of knew that there was a quiz today, i studied a bit and yeah. It turns out that there ain't no demo today. Which means there ain't no lab on Wednesday...Boo-hoo. You weren't there to teach us, but i saw you before class started. We watched more scientific video's about things other worldly and also the 100 interesting facts or something. The title i forgot, but i remember a lot. Like Bill Nye was in it! Bill Nye the science guy. I used to watch his video's in science class all the time- back in elementary. Anyways, the usual note taking took place, boy was there a lot of information. I have a feeling this is going to lead up to something big...i hope i'm wrong. We had another sub in social studies. She was nice, but our loudness got to her. Although the assignment was one the involved many silly questions, which people asked over and over. We have a map of china and we must split it into several time zones, instead of just one big time zone. It's due next class, or so we were told. I'm pretty tired after today. And i haven't gone online for 4 days now! I must find time for all these unecessarily necessary tasks.

T1Blog27 Busy Bee

The first thing i did when i woke up was get out of bed like a vampire. I realized what i had done 5 seconds after doing it. You know how they show vampires getting out of their coffins by just sitting up really fast. I did that today when i saw the time. I had slept in by half an hour. However, i still made it on time thanks to speed eating. The game was fun (i need to increase my vocabulary) however, since it was too sunny out i think i was very lethargic. Yup, lethargic, my new word. I learned that from one of my friend on the walk home last year. I might have mentioned it to you. Sometimes i remember the strangest things. I mean i can't remember what i had for dinner last time, but i can remember what my friend said almost a year ago, on a completely random day. Anyways after the game i went to Mary's house to work on the socials conflict project. We're almost done! We're finished the Power point, now we just need to write the written and the script and get some pictures. I think that's basically it. Although it took us a while to finish it all. I stayed till 6:30! I got home at 7 and then rested and ate. I also watched a movie and did math at the same time. I finished math, but at about 400% slower. I tried reading, but my mom said i needed to sleep, she doesn't understand the habits of a bookworm.

T1Blog26 My new personnal best

I was in bed and i wondered why the sun was beating down on me so sharply. Did the sun rise earlier today? I kept wondering that until i finally found the strength to turn over and look at my alarm clock. When i saw the time i was socked to find out that it was 4. Not 4AM, 4PM! I don't know how it happened, but it happened. I guess i was more tired than i had originally thought! Atleast i cought up on the lost sleep, but i'm guessing that it wasn't too healthy of me to sleep 16 hours. There must be a limit to how many hours is good for you. Becuase as people say, too much of a good thing can be bad for you. When i got out of my groggy state and ate breakfast and lunch (back to back) i finished off my english and french homework. It was pretty easy i just had to read a short stroy for english and draw things for french. Right after i finished the homework for the blocks i had missed (i'm talking 30 seconds here) i went to a restaurant to eat dinner. I know, the day went by so fast once there was only about 8 hours in it. Although after dinner i read a bit more of a book i had started and then went to sleep so that i would get up bright and early for the soccer game. It started a 10:15 this time.

T1Blog25 Fun, school day - Oxymoron!

I don't know how to sum up the day, good? Bad? A bundle full of homework? I had a doctors appointment today during 2nd and 3rd block today so i basically missed both blocks. That sucks. I had some french and English homework, but that was the least of my worries.... In math we were assigned the chapter review, and everyone knows what that means! That's right a test will be happening sometime next week (and before the test there will be a quiz). I must study for both of those before i go to bed. I was so tired over the weekend, what with soccer and homework, that i left my blog until today- Monday. So now i think my blogs will be Shorter than usual That's probably because i don't remember what happened to me a few days back. Anyways, science on friday was fun. We went over some of the homework we got, but us, being a middle years class, were so loud we didn't even get to review the whole thing! We are pretty loud in science since Ms. Tang doesn't tell us to be quiet- she waits and waits. I think it would be better because sometimes, some of us just don't see it, or hear it. Anyways after school i wanted to relax before starting any homework, or doing any at all so i went to Sunset with my friends again. Sunset-the place not the actual sun setting. Although the sunsets lately have been pretty spectacular! All those colors...you just want to keep looking at them...Until the day ends....then you realize you have homework to finish...

T1blog24 Just letting the day go by

I don't know whether i should call this a bad day or a good day. A lot of unfortunate events happened, yet it was really fun! In P.E. it was raining a lot outside, and we still played football in the rain! Normally i would have been cold, wet, and muddy- and i was- but i had a great time in the rain! It was so much fun because it wasn't actually raining hard, sort of like mist rain where you get really wet fast, but it doesn't hurt. I didn't bring a change of socks so i had to walk around in wet socks all day, but so far it was worth it. Then in foods we didn't have a lab and we had to do quiet work in the class about food preservation and measurement. It wasn't too bad, but the quiet part didn't work out. I was a lot warmer in foods, even when the oven isn't on it's still so much warmer in the foods room. My friends on the other hand was having a bad day and it showed. She kept complaining about the rain and then her lock suddenly stopped working! She had to get her lock cut off and went to Spanish class late AND had a Spanish project due that day. It was tragic, but she shouldn't have let it ruin her day. Anyways, when in applied skills i knew we would talk about We Day. I read the e-mail last night-well part of it- and i knew most of what you were going to say. Some of the things on the 10 things list i already do! Like turn my lights off and hug people. I hug people quite frequently. And i was even more surprised when you said we might go on a camping trip!! I can't believe it. I've never actually been camping, but it sounds like fun-horse back riding, canoeing, Zip riding, and many more! We've already started to plan out the trip, we have a google doc. and everything! We're deciding on which camping site and how we'll get enough money. I'm trying to suggest ideas for how to raise money, because there is no camping trip if you don't have the money to pay for it. So far we have bake sale and car wash. If we have a few of each we could raise a lot, but i don't think it'll be enough. We should have a coin drive or something. Although i don't think people will give us coins to pay for our field trip, maybe we could give half the money to a charity...Who knows. In Socials we did more mapping and I was basically relaxed, I had no worry about anything. Even though the day started out bad, and i happened to have bit my lip 3 times and because of my braces i have 3 cold sores in my mouth, i think it turned out well. Just letting the day go by is really nice, i noticed that i worked better when i did that. My new strategy: Just letting the day go by.
